Report: Berlin, MD and Philadelphia, PA

In my recent travel, we have seen an influx of people coming to the Lord. Over two dozen in MD and almost a dozen in an outreach in Philadelphia. It's not the numbers that validate my claim but the heart to heart I have been having at altar calls and such. I give praise to God for the lives that have surrendered but something got my attention.....

In a time when the economic status of the country is in disarray I have noticed that the status that we are currently in is as I believe a result of many things that we as a country have let go of, morality being one. I am not a person that throws that around lightly. I believe that alot of what happens to us is direct result of your own decisions and in some ways our current condition is a bi-product of our spiritual condition. Because of that people are taking refuge and trust in God in a way that they hadn't before. Some are doing so because their man-made ideas can't get them out of this one - no matter how strong or popular or rich or even who we bring into office. Pray. Pray for our President, pray for our leadership nationally and locally but most of all pray for God's Holy Spirit to pour out on us because of our surrender to Him not merely because we "need Him now." How distorted is that if let's say you were married and went and had affairs with all the people you wanted and then because you now were no longer attractive to others, you came home to your spouse and said, "ok, will you take me now." Is it because you recognize your state or because nobody else had the answer you were looking for. I dont mean to be crass but I hope you hear my heart. Let's, as a church, love Him through it not because of the state we are in but love Him because He is the way the truth and the life. Love Him today!

“It is not after we were reconciled by the blood of his Son that God began to love us, but before the foundation of the world.”
— John Calvin
